GTA 6 preload: PS5 digital may start Nov 10, everyone else Nov 12
🟡 Reported
Short version: if you bought GTA 6 digitally on PS5, check your download queue from November 10. Everyone else should plan for November 12. Preloading does not let you play early.
What changed
A November 3 report says PS5 digital preload is moving up to November 10, two days earlier than the November 12 date most outlets had listed. Code-in-box copies (physical boxes that contain a download code) are still expected to preload from November 12.
Rockstar has not posted a new preload date on its Newswire as of November 4, so treat Nov 10 as reported, not confirmed.
Why it matters
GTA 6 is reported to need around 210 GB on PS5. On a slow connection that is a full day of downloading. An extra 48 hours of preload is the difference between playing at unlock and staring at a progress bar.
